June 9th at LanaLou’s, recording almost done!

Posted: May 18, 2018

Our next gig is on Saturday, June 9 at LanaLou’s, 362 Powell Street in Japantown, Vancouver. It’ll be another great night of music with Tayt Modern and Chumper, which features our ex-bandmate, Scott Watts. While Scott played drums with us for four years, including on our second album, Nothing’s Not Worth Knowing, he’s switched over to guitar with Chumper. Should be a lot of fun on the 9th!

We recently spent some more time back at JC/DC Studio with producer David Carswell and are nearly done with the mixing of our fourth album. Once the mixes are finalized, they’ll be shipped off to be mastered by Brock McFarlane at CPS Mastering and then we will queue up for LP pressing. Yes indeed, we will be releasing our new album on vinyl (as well as CD, streaming, downloads, etc.), again with a goal to get it out later this year. Keep checking our website for updates.

Fair warning: we’ll be playing in Surrey for the first time ever on Friday, July 20th at the recently renovated Flamingo Lounge. It looks like a great space and they’ve been killing it at this venue with some fantastic shows featuring local bands. Can’t wait!

We had a wonderful time at New West’s Heritage Grill on May 6. Thanks to Richard Chapman for booking us and George T. Montebruno (of 2 Days & Counting) for opening. Special thanks to Finn Leahy (son of Paul Leahy of Polly and No Fun) for jumping up on stage and singing his dad’s song, “Big Excitement,” with us. His mom Kimiko Karpoff took some super photos of Finn with us–check them out on our 2018 Photos page. And Richard shot the video below of the performance. See you in June at LanaLou’s!
