We played our last gig of 2016 on Friday, December 16 at the Fairview Pub, 898 West Broadway in Vancouver. We shared the night with a bunch of great local bands all of whom we previously hadn’t played with before: Shadooby Rats, the SLIP~Ons and the Stunt People. We had a blast and celebrated Kevin’s birthday in style! Here are some photos from the gig taken by the great Bob Hanham.

We’re taking a short break over the holidays, but January is already looking busy for us with three gigs: the Bowie Ball – A Celebration of the Life and Music of David Bowie on Saturday, January 14 at the Rickshaw Theatre (the David Bowie tribute show in February was one of the highlights of this year), back at the Fairview Pub on January 20 (with Top Hat Goblins and Clone) and then back at the Rickshaw on January 27 for the Super Duper Show, a tribute and benefit show for our good friend Paul Leahy of Polly and No Fun. An amazing guitarist, singer, songwriter and consummate performer, Paul has been on our minds a lot these days as cancer has forced him to retire from playing music as well as leave his job. The proceeds from this show will benefit Paul and his family; also check out the GoFundMe page that’s been set up to raise funds for his medical treatment and other expenses.

Hope to see you at one or more of our gigs in January!
